The Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula Arctica) is the epitome of stoical determination and just getting on with life with an attitude to boot! They live most of their lives out at sea, coming only to the land to breed in abandoned rabbit burrows all over the cliff tops of Western Europe. We have some of the largest established European colonies in Wales and Scotland.  Growing up in rural Wales, and enjoying time in Pembroke on holiday, I was able to enjoy their antics when I saw them.  They are the true masters of the wild seas around our coasts, happy both in the water and on the land, and their cheeky countenance has been a constant companion for me my whole life.  Just be glad you are not a sand eel.
